Famous for the legends around its wood-sculpted devil and an international biathlon center, Bessans is also one of the most reputed cross-country skiing domains in the Alps. By ski, on foot or using showshoes, you will discover this vast high-mountain plateau, which offers a technical challenge that is both pleasant and perfectly maintained, and will be thrilled by the change in scene provided by this natural majesty.
Snow activities
Cross-country domain (1750 m): 80 km of runs, international biathlon stadium, 4 trails for pedestrians and snowshoes, 1 pulka run.
Haute Maurienne Vanoise International Biathlon Stadium: initiation to biathlon, events in season.
Alpine skiing: beginners' area with 2 ski lifts.
1 luge track.
Cross-country skiing: numerous possibilities in the valley of Avérole.

The hamlets of Villaron and La Goulaz, with traditional architecture; La Goulaz is accessible by cross-country skiing, pedestrial trails and snowshoes.
"l'Erablo" traditional dwelling, dating from the 17th century and providing a testimony to the old way of life, when humans and animals lived together under the same roof.
