Haute Maurienne Vanoise

Roads of History

Ten chapels of Val Cenis Lanslevillard have been restored and furnished and constitute the "Roads of History."

From pre-history to the creation of the ski resort of Val Cenis, via the Gallo-Roman period, the Middle Ages and the Baroque era, visitors will discover, at their own rhythm and with the help of a key, the history of this community of Haute Maurienne.

 How does it work?

Go to the St Roch chapel at Val Cenis Lanslevillard. Using a large key and tokens, open the doors to the chapels: history and cultural heritage will reveal themselves as you promenade. The circuit is accessible to all and it is not necessary to visit all 10 chapels.

Key rental: 5 € (+ 30 € security deposit).
Open from Christmas to the end of April.
