Who is backcountry for?
Backcountry skiing provides a feeling of liberty in virgin snow, far from crowded runs and ski lifts. It is for experienced skiers only.
Progressing through non-packed snow requires a good technical level and a good knowledge of the terrain in order to identify potential dangers, such as risk of avalanche or rocky barriers.
For your safety
For backcountry skiing, you must be equipped with an ARVA (used for searching for avalanche victims), a shovel and a probe and must never go alone.
