Description

We propose an easy-going stay in the mountains and moments of unforgettable sweetness and discovery, designed to be shared by the whole family:

• A day with dogs (husky, samoyed...) for a "canine hike" and a visit to the pack.

• A second day with ascension to an alpine pasture to see the Tarine cows and return for a mountain-style snack.

You will follow hiking trails by tuning your steps to the rhythm of the preserved nature of the Vanoise National Park. Perhaps you will sight an ibex or a chamois, or surpise a playful marmot...

The secrets of Mother Nature will be explained to you at the Maison de la Vanoise. And there are still other treasures or ideas to share together: maybe around a story on the devils of Bessans...

Program

Day 1:

Arrival around 4 pm. We will meet you at the village Tourism Office, where you will receive a welcome folder. Installation at your hotel or furnished apartment.

Following days:

At liberty, with the following activities to do according to your preferences...
Full day with dogs: you and your children will become experts on Huskies, Greenlanders, Samoyeds, Malamutes and Alaskan Huskies.

Become an adventurer!

Visit to a kennel with 35 dogs, puppy petting, explanations on the pack...
Choose your dog and take off for a walk supervised by the musher: the "canine hike."
You are attached to the dog by a harness; naturally, you will learn to know the dog by playing with it and petting it, and also how to direct it. This is an outing that opens on the world of nature and its mysteries. You will live an exciting experience with a zest of adventure.
A half-day with the herds. In the high alpine pastures, you will visit beautiful russet cows, the "Tarines," or their cousins of the Abondance race. On this supervised visit, you will learn about the life of cowherds in the Alps. Upon return, you will sample the local products waiting for you, notably the prince of gruyere cheeses, the Beaufort.

An open visit to Mother Nature at the Vanoise House. The exhibition "Project Nature" invites you to discover life in the Vanoise National Park, wild animals, and all the members of the magical world of nature.

In a two-star furnished apartment, on the basis of 4 persons. A stay in spacious, high-quality apartments, comfortably furnished. They will allow you to organize your stay with complete autonomy. Personalized welcome. It is recommended to bring your own sheets and towels.
